  • KL Cleeton is a poker player who was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Type 1, a degenerative disorder that has paralyzed him from the neck down since he was an infant. When KL was diagnosed, doctors told his parents that his life expectancy was 2 years.

    During the filming of our documentary, KL celebrated his 33rd birthday.

    CHIP AND A CHAIR follows KL and his family as they continue trying to beat the odds — both on the table and off, in a society that makes it nearly impossible to live as a person with a disability.
